GOOD MORNING PRAYER

This is Jan’s almost complete prayer, expressed in thought, intention, and words ~ every day throughout his first year in Sedona.
Intended to be recited in mind during morning’s sunrise, from the magic moment when the sun first appears along the horizon.

Note that a prayer is not “absolute,” as in, each day may vary a little, as once you get in the habit of reciting it, may personalize it.
Eg. You can change the order of the lists of things, or adapt locations and people mentioned to match your reality and experiences.

Before you begin, find yourself in a quiet location, then quieten the mind by connecting with stillness within, breathing slow in / out.
Eg. Take in a slow, deep breath through your nose, hold for a few seconds, then exhale slow through your mouth, hold, repeat 4x.

When sitting to pray, kneeling is preferable, as it allows one to sway and feel God respond to thoughts in prayer through the body.
If not kneeling, sit in a lotus-like position with feet palms pressed flat against the other, or remain lying down if uncomfortable.

Place both hands together before you, with arms at 90° angle, the fingertips only lightly touching their opposite tips, palms apart.

The prayer may be recited in silence, as long as one “thinks” the prayer all the way through, as if reciting out loud in one’s mind.
It’s not uncommon to experience tears in the eyes, as one connects with the source of light within, and honors Him with grace.

The whole prayer usually takes up to 30 minutes depending on personal variation, during which it helps to ask Him questions.
Answers may be provided later in the day, in the form of a message overheard, or realization that just appears out of nowhere.

Know that God doesn’t provide what you want (“I pray for a fast car”), but rather, what your consciousness needs you to learn.
Eg. “I asked for love, and God gave me troubled people to help.” “I asked for wisdom, and God gave me problems to solve…”

The Good Morning Prayer simply helps anyone reconnect with His source—the spiritual light within—not matters outside of self.

In turning away from without
From physical desires of a body

Away from temptation to commit sin
Of giving in to the fallen state condition
Away from the desire of sensory experiences
And consequences of living swayed by emotions

In turning away from this earthly desire
And pretending to be a god with a small “g” 
To bring forth new life in this world 
Procreating to merge with another half whole

From giving into ego’s need for power
To surrendering life and death to His will alone
From letting go of the need to accumulate resources
Acknowledging wealth through faith in His bounty

To seek the light of His Kingdom of Heaven
Through the seed of life and source of all light
Also known as the fountain of youth or regeneration
And the origin from which to grow one’s Armor of God

Grown by faith and trusting in Him
Guided to all knowledge and truth
Entered through His son Jesus Christ
Is His light not found without but within

From any or all potential handicap symptoms
That would cause the body serving this being
To have to serve Him with handicap at this time
Protect this Body from falls, accidents, pain and suffering, violence and physical harm
From corruption, corrosion, infection or illness, flu or colds of any kind
From dehydration, destabilization, disorientation, distortions or dis-somethings of any kind

That it may remain sharp with the clarity of higher mind
To serve on your behalf
To act on your will
Speak in your voice
Intuiting your intention
Following your Guidance
Aligned with your higher thinking and light at all times

All bless his Spirit

That it may remain free
Of negative thought, intentions, impressions or emotions
Curses, spells, subversion and dark clouds
That would handicap this being from being able to serve
In the highest good of all

All bless his Light

For it is your light growing in him at this time
That this being may receive all the light he requires
In order to serve the good of all beings at this time
Sharing this light as required with others
To help them overcome their own fears of the light
Exposing the darkness within their own spirit
Making them feel safe for all to come home to your light
